Isoselenazole sind neuartige, sehr wirksame Antioxidantien, die auf bemerkenswerte Weise Zellen schützen können. Diese in nur wenigen Stufen synthetisierbaren Verbindungen haben das Potenzial, durch oxidativen Stress ausgelöste Krankheiten bekämpfen zu können.
