Browning tray

A browning tray is a special accessory for a microwave oven, usually composed of glass or porcelain. It serves the purpose of browning, or making food crisp by oxidising the top layer until it turns brown. Ordinary plastic cookware is unsuitable for this purpose since it could melt.
