Acoustic spectroscopy

Acoustic spectroscopy term has several slightly different meaning.

One of the most known is described on the page Spectrogram, as energy versus frequency and time plot.

The other meaning of this term is ultrasound attenuation spectroscopy. Instead of energy, attenuation coefficient is measured versus frequency. There is International Standard for this method [1]. There are multiple applications given in the book [2].
