Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry (JAAS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original (primary) research and review articles covering all areas of modern spectrometry including fundamental theory, practice and analytical applications. JAAS is published monthly by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), the managing editor is Dr Niamh O'Connor and the chairman of the editorial board is Gary Hieftje, Indiana University.

JAAS replaced Annual Reports on Analytical Atomic Spectroscopy (1971-1984) in 1986; and has become a leading journal in the field of analytical chemistry and spectroscopy, with an impact factor of 3.64.[1]

JAAS hosts another RSC publication, Chemical Science.
