Molecular radiation

Molecular radiation results from the rotational, vibrational, and electronic energy transitions of molecules.

Spectral bands are the combination of many different spectral lines resulting from vibrational, rotational and electronic transitions. Unresolved band spectra may appears as a spectral continuum.

Molecular emission is the mechanism behind the sulfur lamp and the deuterium arc lamp.
