Nanosys



Nanosys is a nanotechnology company located in Palo Alto, California founded in 2001.

Nanosys is a nanotechnology company developing products based on a technology platform incorporating high performance inorganic nanostructures. Its technology is covered by approximately 430 patent and patent applications and is currently being applied to address opportunities in multiple industries including energy, defense, electronics, computing and life science.

In August of 2004, Nanosys was originally scheduled to go public. However, the company withdrew it's IPO due to adverse market conditions. The Nanosys IPO was scheduled to raise between $94 million and $106 million, before underwriting costs. There are no known new plans for an IPO.

Major funders of the company include Arch Venture Partners and Intel.
