Part of its Bouvé College, Northeastern University's School of Pharmacy is nationally recognized as having one of the strongest Doctor of Pharmacy programs. The Doctor of Pharmacy Program provides a foundation of basic science and targeted liberal arts course work, a comprehensive, integrated professional course curriculum and extensive professional work experience which prepares students for the challenging clerkship rotations in a wide variety of pharmacy practice settings. Bouve students have the opportunity to participate in Northeastern's nationally recognized Co-op program. In the summer following their sophomore year, students begin alternating between periods of work in the Co-op program and study in the classroom. The Co-op program provides students with a chance to apply their classroom experience in a real world setting and experience different opportunities available in the field of pharmacy. Northeastern's Bouve College is the only pharmacy program in the country which boasts a Co-op program. Also, Northeastern's program is accredited by the ACPE.

Location

Northeastern's location plays a key role in the success of its students. Situated in downtown Boston only a train ride away from world renowned hospitals such as Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, NU pharmacy students have the unique opportunity to gain valuable experience learning from some of the best hospitals in the country and the world. Boston has been long recognized as being of the the top healthcare cities in the US.

Located in the new Behrakis Health Science Center, Northeastern Pharmacy students have access to state of the art facilities.
