Sanofi-Synthélabo



Sanofi-Synthélabo was formed in 1999 when Sanofi merged with Synthélabo. The merged company was based in Paris, France.

Sanofi was a French pharmaceutical company created in 1973. Synthélabo was the pharmaceutical division of L'Oréal, the world's leading company in cosmetics and beauty. L'Oréal purchased Synthélabo in 1973 to pursue ambition in the pharmaceutical field.

Sanofi-Aventis was formed in 2004 when Sanofi-Synthélabo merged with Aventis.
