APC (protein)




APC (adenomatosis polyposis coli) is the product of a tumor suppressor gene (APC (gene)). The human full-length protein comprises 2843 AA with a (predicted) molecular mass of 311646 Da. Most domains of this protein are solved structurally and exhibit high intrinsic disorder/flexibility as monomer and a low content of stable secondary structure. Thus it is a member of the intrinsically unstructured proteins (Intrinsically unstructured proteins). Nothing is known about in vivo full-length (un)foldome which is nice for some investigators (but bad for current therapeutic intervention) ...
