DOBU, or 2,5-dimethoxy-4-(n)-butylamphetamine, is a lesser-known psychedelic drug and a substituted Amphetamine. DOBU was first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin. In his book PIHKAL (Phenethylamines I Have Known and Loved), neither the dosage nor the duration are known (the duration listed is "very long." DOBU produces paresthesia and difficulty sleeping. Very little data exists about the pharmacological properties, metabolism, and toxicity of DOBU.
