Nanoionic device

Nanoionic devices belong to a new class of solid state devices operating due to fast ion transport at nano-scale. The examples of such devices are nano-switches with quantum conductance ([1,2], see also programmable metallization cell), and nanoionic supercapacitors with coherent heterojunctions [3].
