Scentuelle

Scentuelle is a tradename for a non-transdermal (nothing enters the bloodstream) scented patch which purpotedly increases libido (sexual desire) for females. It had been invented by Dr George Dodd from CST Medical ltd [1]. Females are supposed to wear the patch on their wrist and sniff it every hour.

It is patented (GB patent 2386555).

Official page does not present any result of clinical trials which would prove its efficacy. On the site [2], there is an absract by Dr. Dodd et al [3], which claims that 41 of 75 females suffering from low sexual desire reported improved libido. However, in this experiment there was no control group (at least, the abstract says nothing about it), so it is not clear whether this improvement was due to the placebo effect.
