DSM Safety Award 2000 won by Dutch-based Stanyl/SMA plants
DSM's Dutch-based Stanyl/SMA plants are the proud winners of the DSM Safety Award for 2000. Over the last ten years, the two plants in Geleen have not had a single lost-workday case. They received the Award for the excellent safety performance of not only the plants' own staff but also contractor personnel. The 2000 Safety Award, which was presented earlier this month by DSM Chairman Peter Elverding, consists of an amount of €10,000 in cash and a work of art. This work of art will be given a permanent place close to the two plants. The prize money will be donated to a safety-related charity in the region, in consultation with the employees of the plants.
