The coulometric method is suitable for many types of samples with low water contents. Ideal in the chemical, petrochemical, plastics, pharmaceutical and some food industries. For direct determination, the samples must be liquid. The indirect method using external extraction or a an evaporation oven can also be used to analyze solid samples.
