Unlock the Zeta Potential and Say Goodbye to Guesswork

The surface charge of solid material aqueous system influences the interaction of the material with chemical additives as well as the stability of a dispersion.

The Mütek™SZP-16 System Zeta Potential identifies the surface charges of fibers, pigments and other solid materials. Measuring samples before and after chemical contact, it evaluates the performance of e.g. wet strength agents, sizing agents, dispersants or coatings in a manufacturing process.

The SZP-16 is a popular standard device for chemical suppliers in the pulp and paper industry because it is compact and easy to take along on field assignments. Process samples can be measured without time-consuming sample preparation.

The device has been successfully employed to assess chemical additives in the papermaking process as well as for evaluating filter aids for beverages, other separation technologies or to control textile finishing. In the context of pigment dispersion stability assessment it aids in aligning pigments with additives to avoid instability caused by charge mismatches.

the SZP-16 unlocks access to more data in your application. The result? Better, more informed decision making and greater operational efficiency.
