01-24-2005: Cabot Corporation broke ground on its new world-class fumed silica manufacturing facility located in Jiangxi province, China. The facility is a project of Cabot Bluestar Chemical (Jiangxi) Company Ltd., a joint venture between its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cabot (China) Limited, and Bluestar New Chemical Materials Co., Ltd., a part of the China National Chemical Group. Cabot is investing approximately US $30 million to construct the plant scheduled for completion in the first half of 2006.
