Merquinsa is a leading thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) specialty producer, providing innovative products for injection moulding, extrusion, calendering, melt coating, compounding and adhesives applications. Merquinsa’s headquarters are in Barcelona, Spain. First to market renewable-sourced TPU in 2007. Merquinsa was granted the Frost & Sullivan 2008 Global Thermoplastic Urethane (TPU) Product Innovation Green Excellence of the Year Award. This award recognizes Merquinsa's innovation in biopolymers, with its groundbreaking Bio TPU from renewable sources and successfully marketed globally under Pearlthane(R) and Pearlbond(R) ECO brands.

Merquinsa was recently acquired by The Lubrizol Corporation. The Merquinsa products will be integrated into Lubrizol's Engineered Polymers business.
