Founded in Karlsruhe in 1879 as "Material-, Colonial- und Farbwarenhandlung und Droguerie", Carl Roth GmbH + Co. KG today supplies companies, laboratories and scientific institutions with laboratory supplies, selected life science products and chemicals. The company is based in Karlsruhe. The product range comprises more than 25,000 items. 96 percent of the goods are kept The wholesaler stocks 96% of its products for its customers at its Karlsruhe site, which means that delivery times within Germany are just 24 hours. The company employs 230 people. In 2013, Carl Roth opened a new logistics center with an automated small parts warehouse in the Karlsruhe-Rheinhafen industrial area. The extension to the existing chemicals warehouse had become necessary due to the continuously growing shipping business and increasing customer demand. Carl Roth has five subsidiaries and 25 foreign representatives abroad.
