BASF increases the prices for its compounded nylon 6 and nylon 66
BASF markets its engineering plastics nylon under the trade name Ultramid®. Ultramid A is the name for nylon 66, Ultramid B stands for nylon 6. Ultramid T and Ultramid C are copolyamides of nylon 6 and 66. Nylon is one of the most widely used engineering plastics, and has become indispensable in auto-motive and mechanical engineering and in electronics and electrical engineering. The material is characterized by a combination of high strength, stiffness and toughness as well as chemical and thermal resistance.
