Bayer increases prices worldwide for trimethylolpropane

19-Mar-2003

Effective April 1, 2003 Bayer Chemicals, a division of Bayer AG, will increase its prices worldwide for trimethylolpropane (TMP) by EUR 160 and US$ 180 per metric ton respectively. According to Wolfgang Schäfer, marketing manager for polyols at Bayer Chemicals, the reason for the increase is the considerable rise in manufacturing costs - primarily due to the significant increase in raw material and energy costs.
