Bayer Technology Services to build chlorine drying unit for BorsodChem in Hungary

13-May-2005

Bayer Technology Services GmbH (BTS) has won the order from BorsodChem in Hungary to build a drying unit for gaseous chlorine. The Bayer tower design with special internals ensures that the chlorine has a significantly lower residual moisture than is possible with conventional processes. The two drying towers have a total capacity of 160,000 tons of chlorine per year. The order is for the engineering and procurement of the treatment system, with commissioning scheduled for late 2005.
