P-14 classic

The FRITSCH Variable Speed Rotor Mill P-14 classic enables fast, effective comminution of soft to medium-hard, brittle and fibrous materials as well as temperature-sensitive samples. Particularly well proven in trace analysis worldwide, the mill grinds samples that are difficult to grind or extremely temperature-sensitive, such as styrene, polyester, synthetic resins, films, PVC, PP and PE, by adding liquid nitrogen.

Precise adaptation to every application

The variable speed setting between 6,000 and 20,000 rpm can be precisely adjusted in steps of a thousand. Automatic speed compensation adapts the grinding optimally to the specific size reduction behavior of the sample. The fast, effective grinding considerably reduces the thermal load on the material to be ground.

Highest sample throughput thanks to powerful technology

A more powerful frequency converter adapts the motor power precisely to the respective grinding material - for faster sample feeding, constant speeds and higher throughput. The clear LED display shows the speed and motor load and warns when the limit temperature is reached.

Efficient cooling for temperature-sensitive materials

The ingenious air routing ensures a constant air flow that cools the rotor, motor components and ground material in the collecting vessel. A larger fan builds up overpressure and prevents the ingress of dirt particles from the air. In combination with the FRITSCH cyclones, the mill is ideally suited for ultra-fine grinding of temperature-sensitive materials such as powder coatings and plastics as well as for problem-free pre- and fine grinding of hard-brittle to soft, fatty or moist samples.

Tool-free change of grinding parts and easy cleaning

All grinding parts can be removed without tools in a few simple steps - for quick replacement and cleaning outside the appliance. The particularly smooth surface of the stainless steel impact rotors facilitates residue-free cleaning. A wear-free labyrinth seal between the grinding chamber and motor provides reliable protection against contamination.

The mill offers a wide range of accessories with rotors and sieve rings in various designs and materials - made of stainless steel, pure titanium and TiN-coated. The P-14 classic can be combined with the FRITSCH LABORETTE 24 vibratory feeder for continuous sample feeding of even the smallest quantities of material, whereby the mill automatically adjusts the sample feed to its load condition.
