NANOCOLOR Advance

Precise photometry in the laboratory and on the move - the NANOCOLOR® Advance combines the flexibility of a portable compact photometer with the measurement quality of a high-quality spectrophotometer. With a wavelength range of 340-800 nm, it covers the entire spectrum of photometrically evaluable test kits from MACHEREY-NAGEL, making it a versatile all-rounder in water and wastewater analysis.

Automatic turbidity control for reliable results

One of the most common, but often invisible, sources of error in photometry is the turbidity of the sample. The NANOCOLOR® Advance addresses this problem with the integrated NTU check: For each measurement in a round tube, an additional 860 nm LED determines the nephelometric turbidity and warns the user of any interfering influences. This is because turbidity can distort measurement results by up to 30 % - a risk that is consistently minimized with this automatic check.

Intuitive operation - no extensive training required

The icon-based menu navigation is based on the operation of smartphones and tablets and makes the device immediately accessible. The capacitive touchscreen enables convenient operation - even when wearing gloves. The fully automatic cuvette recognition via the integrated 2D barcode scanner automatically selects the test method and wavelength, enabling virtually contactless, fast routine analysis. Over 200 pre-programmed tests and 99 freely programmable methods are available.

Maximum flexibility thanks to universal cuvette shaft

As the first MACHEREY-NAGEL photometer with a 24 mm cuvette slot, the NANOCOLOR® Advance offers extended application possibilities. With just two adapters, rectangular cuvettes (10, 20, 40 and 50 mm) and round tubes (16 and 24 mm) can be used. In addition to NANOCOLOR® round and rectangular cuvette tests, test kits from the VISOCOLOR® Powder Pillow range can also be evaluated.

Mobile, robust and reliable documentation

The built-in rechargeable battery enables fully mobile use without compromising on precision or convenience. The device has passed the vibration test according to Military Standard 810H (514.8 Cat. 4) and complies with protection class IP67. The integrated user administration, GLP-compliant data storage (1000 measurement results, 1000 IQC results) and automatically generated test reports ensure complete documentation. Data can be exported directly via USB stick, to network drives or to LIMS systems - without additional accessories.
