08-31-2009: Simo Laitala has been appointed Managing Director of OOO Tikkurila as from October 1, 2009. He'll be responsible for OOO Tikkurila's operations in Russia. Based in St. Petersburg, he will report to Janno Paju, Vice President, Tikkurila Deco East.
Evgeny Shupik, present Managing Director of OOO Tikkurila has decided to leave Tikkurila and pursue new challenges. Tikkurila would like to thank Evgeny Shupik for his contribution and wish him success.
Simo Laitala has previously worked as Regional Director for (Tikkurila) Deco East, Central Asia, and as General Director of Tikkurila's subsidiary TOO Tikkurila in Kazakhstan. Before his career in Tikkurila, Simo Laitala has worked for CPS Color Group in Asia.
