hte announces that Markus Bold handed over leadership of the company to Denis Hürtgen and Michael Paul effective June 1, 2026.

With its new management team, hte aims to further strengthen its position as a leading provider of R&D workflows at laboratory scale. At the same time, the company is clearly looking ahead. Denis Hürtgen and Michael Paul bring many years of experience from different areas of the company and the industry to their new roles.

Michael Paul has extensive experience at the intersection of technology, business development, and customer applications, and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a member of hte’s management team.

“Our focus is on becoming even more closely aligned with customer requirements and consistently supporting innovation projects with high-quality research data. Our goal remains to help customers achieve fast results with high data quality and commercial relevance,” says Michael Paul, Managing Director and COO at hte.

Denis Hürtgen has played a key role in shaping hte’s technological development over many years and most recently served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), with responsibility for the company’s hardware and software portfolio.
