Air Products Polymers, L.P. announced that, effective October 1, 2006, it will implement a $0.03 per wet pound price increase for all vinyl acetate homopolymer and copolymer, vinyl acetate ethylene copolymer, vinyl acrylic, acrylic and vinyl chloride based emulsions. These products are sold by the company under the Airflex®, Flexbond®, and Vinac® trademarks. According to the company, this price adjustment, applicable to all North American sales, is necessary to offset rising prices for a wide range of raw materials, as well as continued escalation in energy and freight costs.
Air Products Polymers, L.P. is a joint venture between Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. and Wacker-Chemie GmbH that manufactures and distributes latex polymers.
