Bundesverband Erdgas, Erdöl und Geoenergie (BVEG)

The Bundesverband Erdgas, Erdöl und Geoenergie e.V. (BVEG) represents the interests of German crude oil and natural gas producers, operators of underground storage facilities and service providers working in this industry. The BVEG is also a collective bargaining partner with two collective bargaining associations. Since the association was founded on December 18, 1945 in Hanover, the WEG has been the voice of the E&P industry in energy policy, economic, social, technical and environmental policy as well as tax and legal matters. All specialist areas of the BVEG are based on the formation of opinions and the exchange of experience in the association's committees, which are made up of representatives from the member companies. This committee work ensures that the association is able to take a position on important fundamental and detailed issues as well as draft laws and regulations and to conduct a dialog between business, politics and the public.
