Together with the state initiatives, we at the Automotive Cluster East Germany are developing the automotive industry sustainably. We network automotive manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, research institutes, associations and institutions under our guiding themes of digitalization, electromobility, flexibilization and people. We look to the future. Since 2004, we have been the cross-state initiative and joint action platform for automotive manufacturers, suppliers and service providers, research institutes, associations and institutions active in eastern Germany. Together with the state initiatives, we are developing the automotive industry in Berlin/Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia in a sustainable manner. We are particularly driven by the products and production technologies of the East German automotive plants of VW, Opel, Daimler, Porsche and BMW. We bundle regional activities and create synergies within the industry for the whole of eastern Germany. We network and qualify small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with universities and other market participants so that they can provide services for OEMs and/or their direct suppliers. In this way, the East German automotive industry is growing sustainably and stabilizing its performance. We effectively present the strong automotive industry in eastern Germany on a supra-regional level and thus support companies based here in acquiring orders. As attractive and established partners in the industry, they set trends in economic development through cooperation. As ACOD, we want our work to contribute to the development of the new federal states into a European center for high-tech products in the automotive industry.
