Great Lakes Chemical Corporation announced a worldwide price increase of $0.06/lb or $130/mt for its product KP-140(R) specialty additive. The price increase, which takes effect immediately, is necessary due to substantial increases in the cost of natural gas derived feed stocks.
KP-140 Specialty Additive acts as a plasticizer and de-airing system diluent. It is used in floor polish applications as a leveling agent, in plastisols such as water-based adhesives, inks, and paints to reduce viscosity, and in textile applications as a biodegradable, non-silicone antifoam agent.
