Elemica Members Begin ERP Connected Transactions

Elemica, a neutral network founded by the world's leading chemical companies to serve buyers and sellers in the global chemical industry; today announced that the first fully electronic transactions were conducted on the Elemica Network by four of the 22 companies that founded Elemica. They are transacting ongoing contract business using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) connections to the Elemica Network. The four companies are BASF, The Dow Chemical Company, DSM and Solvay. "Today we passed a major milestone on the road to success for Elemica," said Kent Dolby, president and CEO. "The Elemica Connected Solution provides the ERP connectivity that is the core of the Elemica Network. At this moment Elemica is working with many companies and moving rapidly toward fulfilling our vision of an efficient, global connected network for our members, for their customers and suppliers and for the entire chemical industry."
