Nomination Deadline Nov. 1, 2004

01-Oct-2004

Palo Alto, Calif.. Agilent Technologies Inc. announced its sponsorship of the 2005 American Chemical Society Division of Analytical chemistry (ACS-DAC) Award for Young Investigators in Separation Science. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of separation science by a young chemist or chemical engineer. It is intended to complement the existing ACS awards in chromatography and separation science for established investigators.

The ACS-DAC is accepting nominations for the 2005 award until Nov. 1, 2004. Nominations are open to young chemists or chemical engineers of any nationality from academia, industry or national laboratories. Nominees must have earned their highest degree within 10 years of Jan. 1, 2005. A description of the nomination process is available at www.acs-analytical.duq.edu/dac_awards.html.

The award, administered by the ACS-DAC Subdivision of Chromatography and Separations Chemistry, consists of a $4,000 honorarium. The winner will be honored at a special award symposium to be held at the 2006 Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (Pittcon).
