Eurofins signs letter of intent regarding the conditional acquisition of the LEM laboratories in France

08-Jul-2005

Eurofins signed a conditional agreement with the GINGER group, which entitles Eurofins to take over the LEM laboratories situated in Saverne (Alsace/ France). This transaction is submitted to the usual suspensive conditions such as a detailed due diligence, the consultation of the employees and an agreement with GINGER about the long-term outsourcing of analyses within the scope of LEMs technological portfolio.

LEM is specialised in the analysis of environmental materials, water and food products. With more than 150 employees, LEM generates annual sales of over EUR 10 million. This acquisition, if it should be concluded, would further reinforce the position of Eurofins as market leader in food and environmental analysis in Europe.
