Solutia Raises Prices on Therminol Heat Transfer Fluids

Solutia Inc. has announced a price increase of between 5 and 7 percent for several of its Therminol heat transfer fluids, including Therminol 55, 66, 72, VP-1, LT, XP, and D-12. This increase applies to orders shipped on or after September 1, 2005, for all non-contract customers and where contracts allow.
"This price increase is a reflection of Solutia's need to sustain long- term business viability in the face of continued pressure on raw material, energy and transportation costs," said Dale Kline, global business director, Specialty Fluids, Solutia Inc.
