sales and
marketing director, DuPont EP, relocating to the company's European
headquarters in Geneva,
Switzerland.
Björn Hedlund has over 25 years experience of DuPont's
engineering polymer business. His career to date has involved several senior positions, including the roles of product manager for Delrin® acetal resin in Europe and regional business manager Zytel®
nylon resins for both Asia Pacific and
the Americas regions. In April 2002 he was promoted to the position of marketing director, EP Europe, and soon after to the role of regional director EMEA for the Engineering Polymers business.
Alain Baronnier is a graduate chemical engineer and a master of science in
biochemistry from the University of Colorado. After joining DuPont in 1984, he spent his first seven years within the EP business in
France. Alain broadened his DuPont experience over the next 11 years with several
positions, ranging from product line manager to global business manager, within the company's
electronics, packaging and
packaging films businesses. He returned to EP in July 2002, when he became member of the strategic planning team for the business. Two years later Alain was
promoted to global business marketing manager, High
temperature Solutions - a role which was based in Shanghai,
China. Du Pont de Nemours (Deutschland) GmbH
Ferdinand Bauerdick joined DuPont in his native
Germany in 1974. Successive promotions within the EP business saw him rise to the position of marketing manager for Central Europe and, subsequently, automotive business manager for the European region. Business director positions in
the company's packaging and
nylon intermediates businesses followed, before he returned to EP as global business director for a number of the business' core products.
