Gulbrandsen Chemicals Inc. announced that it will increase the price of tin catalysts used in polyurethane applications effective April 1, 2007 or as contracts permit. The price for T-Cat 110 stannous octoate and T-Cat 120 di-butyl tin di-laurate will rise by 15% and the price for stannous octoate dilutions will rise in proportion to the concentrations.
Gulbrandsen said that this price increase is a direct result of the cost of tin metal in the world market with LME prices rising more than 60% in the past 6 months.
