INEOS Nitriles Announces Acrylonitrile Capacity Expansion
INEOS Nitriles announced plans for a major capacity expansion at its acrylonitrile complex in Green Lake, Texas. This project includes the installation of a fourth reactor train and additional investment in associated equipment at Green Lake. According to the company, upon completion and startup in the third quarter of 2008, Green Lake will become the largest acrylonitrile production facility in the world with 544 kt of total capacity or 1.2 billion pounds.
