Ciba Specialty Chemicals to invest in a new supply point for Light Stabilizers in NAFTA
Ciba Specialty Chemicals is investing CHF 70 million over three years in the key area of Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS) of its business unit Polymer Additives. In Addition to various expansion projects in the European plants located in Italy and Germany that presently manufacture HALS and related intermediates, the investment covers a major step to establish a new supply point for HALS in NAFTA to satisfy the growing demand for light stabilizers.

The business unit Polymer Additives is one of Ciba’s five high potential businesses. It is the leading global supplier of light stabilizers, antioxidants, processing stabilizers and other effect additives to the polymer industry.
