BASF to raise prices for pharma excipients

14-Nov-2007

With immediate effect, BASF is raising its prices for pharma excipients worldwide by up to 9 percent. This product group includes binders, disintegrants, coatings, solvents and solubilizers for the production of pharmaceuticals.

The price increases are necessary because of higher energy and transportation costs as well as high raw material costs, which are still rising.

BASF produces and markets a broad range of active ingredients and excipients, as well as exclusive synthesis services for the pharmaceutical industry. These products are made using the latest technologies, to the highest quality standards and in compliance with cGMP guidelines.
