02-Sep-2008 - USA

DuPont Titanium Technologies announced a price increase for all DuPont(TM) Ti-Pure(R) titanium dioxide grades sold in Europe, Middle East and Africa markets.

EffectiveSept. 1, prices for DuPont coatings, plastics, specialty, paper and laminate titanium dioxide grades will increase by 50 Euros per tonne in all Euro markets of Western and Central Europe andNorth Africa markets and by US$120 per tonne in the dollar markets of Eastern Europe, Russia, Middle East and Sub-Sahara Africa markets.

"Demand for TiO2 remains strong. Higher raw material, energy and transportation costs continue to impact our manufacturing expenditures," saidIan Edwards, global business director - DuPont Titanium Technologies. "Energy efficiency and productivity initiatives have offset some of this impact, but this price increase is necessary for continued investment in global fulfillment, quality offerings and value to customers."
