Thanks to powerful hardware and intelligent measurement software, coordinate measuring machines with computed tomography are achieving ever higher levels of accuracy and measuring speeds. This means that industrial computed tomography can now be used not only in laboratories and measuring rooms, but also for fast 3D measurements close to production and statistical process control (SPC). Unlike other sensors, the complete three-dimensional workpiece volume, including undercuts and internal geometries, is always available as a measurement result at the touch of a button.
Due to the growing demands of e-mobility, 100% inspection is increasingly necessary. With a TomoScope® XS Plus, a Werth long-life transmission source, and Werth contour image processing, geometrical characteristics such as deformations of the electrode winding consisting of anode and cathode can be measured reliably in a matter of seconds.
Metallic particles introduced during the manufacturing process are automatically detected in a matter of seconds to prevent short circuits and thus possible fires in the entire high-voltage storage unit.
Further Benefits:
- The transmission tube—in a monoblock design for the first time—achieves a small focal spot even at high tube power, enabling measurements to be performed five times faster than with conventional high-resolution CT machines.
- The X-ray source combines the benefits of closed and open microfocus X-Ray tubes.
- Unlimited service life and low downtime with a maintenance cycle of one year, as with conventional coordinate measuring machines.
- Local subvoxeling to reduce probing error.
- OnTheFly Tomography and real-time reconstruction enable fast measurements
- Short measurement times of a few seconds thanks to multi-object measurement
- Design complies with a fully shielded device according to radiation protection regulations
- Standard-compliant specification and calibration according to VDI 2617, optionally with DAkkS certificate
