Materials and Mechanical Properties
The membranes consist of polystyrene (PS) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), ensuring high mechanical tensile strength and tear resistance. These material-specific properties provide durability and reliability in demanding applications.

Functional Principle of Electrodialysis
In electrodialysis, the membranes separate the space between two electrodes through alternating arrangement of anion and cation exchange membranes. Each membrane pair forms a separate functional unit. Under electrical DC voltage, anions migrate to the anode and pass through positively charged anion exchange membranes, but are stopped at negatively charged cation exchange membranes. The same mechanism works for cations, achieving effective salt enrichment in the cells.
