Oligonucleotide synthesis in pharmaceutical process development is complex and cost-intensive. That’s why we developed a synthesis platform that combines maximum precision, reliability, and scalability – enabling you to develop GMP-ready manufacturing processes and later carry out GMP production on the very same platform.

With the KNAUER OligoScaler, you can scale seamlessly from laboratory synthesis (≈ 100 µmol) to production scale of up to 30 mmol. Flow rates of up to 250 mL/min per pump significantly reduce contact times with sensitive reagents, allowing you to precisely control and effectively minimize impurity profiles.

The intuitive software gives you maximum flexibility for process optimization: adjust coupling steps, vary oxidizer contact times, or recycle challenging modifications – all with just a few clicks. Design your synthesis exactly according to your requirements.

The standard configuration features 12 phosphoramidite positions with integrated wash ports to prevent cross-contamination, as well as 10 reagent positions that provide flexibility for additional chemistries or phosphoramidite inlets. Real-time monitoring of the detritylation curve with our detector allows you to track synthesis performance at up to four wavelengths (190–900 nm). Integrated conductivity measurement within the recycle loop ensures precise process control.
