Today, Schwarzheide in the heart of the Lausitz region ranks among the most advanced locations of the BASF Group and is characterised by highly qualified specialists, excellent transport links, an industry-friendly environment and close proximity to the Eastern European markets.

Together with our partners we are continuing to develop Schwarzheide as an economic centre with great competence in the chemistry and plastics areas. Moreover, in 2005, we were able to welcome the 13th enterprise to establish themselves on the industrial estate.
