Today, Schwarzheide in the heart of the Lausitz region ranks among the most advanced locations of the BASF Group and is characterised by highly qualified specialists, excellent transport links, an industry-friendly environment and close proximity to the Eastern European markets.
Together with our partners we are continuing to develop Schwarzheide as an economic centre with great competence in the chemistry and plastics areas. Moreover, in 2005, we were able to welcome the 13th enterprise to establish themselves on the industrial estate.
BASF Schwarzheide GmbH is a 100 per cent subsidiary of BASF AG - one of the world’s leading chemical companies. With clients in some 170 countries, the Group supplies products from the fields of chemicals, plastic, finishing products, plant protectants and nutrition, as well as oil and gas.
With the declared aim to maintain their leading role throughout the world, BASF is proceeding along new paths with Vision 2015. The staff are coordinating their activities based on four strategic guidelines with the focus on growth, customer orientation, staff training and consistency for a future worth living.
