We are chemical engineers working in the field of electrochemical research. We met at the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where we decided to share flex-E-cell with the world.

We aim to distribute flex-E-cell to industry and academia, providing an easy-to-use and versatile tool for ongoing research on electrification of (chemical) industry. By making the development of electrochemical processes easy and accessible, we want to contribute to more sustainable processes and accelerate their development.

flex-X-cell is a modular, adaptable and scalable platform cell. It is applicable as an electrochemical flow cell, a heat exchanger or as a membrane module. The design is modular, adaptable and scalable. This makes flex-X-cell applicable for a wide range of processes for example electrochemical CO2 reduction, electrochemical production of platform chemicals, water electrolysis, membrane processes, and (electrochemical) water treatment.
