About EnzyScreen
EnzyScreen BV is specialised in the development, and production of miniaturised growth systems to be used in biotechnology labs. A second activity is the screening for enzyme activities, especially P450s, other oxygenases and dehydrogenases. The company was founded in 2001 by Wouter Duetz and Bernard Witholt as a spin-off company from the Institute of Biotechnology of the ETH Zurich.
Activity one:
EnzyScreen designs, manufactures, and supplies tools and equipment for the high-quality growth and screening of large collections in microtiter plates
Also, Enzyscreen assists companies and research institutes with the implementation of this technology platform (on a consultancy basis)
Activity two:
Enzyscreen performs (on a contract basis) highly sensitive and high-throughput analysis by LC-MS, e.g. for natural compounds, metabolites, drug-residues, etc. Projects on natural compounds are usually done together with a number of other specialised companies brought together in the consortium PRISNA.
Activity three:
EnzyScreen offers to its industrial clients the performance of custom screenings for new enzyme activities
(speciality: p450s, and other oxygenases and oxidoreductases)
