Aldrich and Polymer Laboratories Announce Combinatorial Chemistry Alliance
This agreement foreshadows a broader relationship between Sigma-Aldrich and Polymer Laboratories encompassing the collaborative development of other proprietary resin technologies.
Sigma-Aldrich is committed to supporting the efforts of scientists engaged in the rapidly developing field of combinatorial chemistry. Dr. Chris Hewitt, Vice-President of Marketing and R&D at Aldrich said, "This affiliation supplements our position as a supplier of high quality products and services for combinatorial chemistry. We are committed to ensuring that our customers working in this area have access to the best resin, solvent, and building blocks technologies supported by services such as custom weighing and next day delivery. This affiliation meets that objective."
Aubrey Mendonca, Vice President of Business Development for Polymer Laboratories' solid phase synthesis and scavenger resin products, said "PL has taken the leading role in the development and manufacture of ultra pure resins with highly reproducible loadings and uniform bead sizes; the agreement with Aldrich now provides an ideal mechanism for the rapid distribution of small quantities of PL's extensive and rapidly growing range of chemistries to research scientists."
