The Bodo Möller Chemie Group takes over the care of customers of Merck in the countries of Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland for the product area of effect pigments and additives for coatings, printings and plastics. Starting on May 1st, 2021, the Offenbach-based Bodo Möller Chemie Group will be in charge not only of the customers, but also of the employee base of Surface Solutions in the Swedish Merck location, thereby expanding the product range of performance materials. Thus, the usual contacts will remain the same in the future, while Bodo Möller Chemie sees an additional increase of application know-how. The effect pigments and additives are primarily used in the paint and coating industry, in the printing sector and in the plastics area. The Surface Solutions business unit of Merck offers materials for innovative surfaces that are more resistant and also more effectively processed. Their stain resistance and other special effects are attained by additives.
With this collaboration and the knowledge transfer, the Bodo Möller Chemie Group keeps growing to become an all-in-one solution provider, which in addition to offering innovative products of leading top quality manufacturers also offers comprehensive services for their application, processing and long-term durability. “We are an all-round provider that offers tailor-made products from the best manufacturers exactly according to customer needs. Therefore, this cooperation has a special strategic importance for us and completes our product portfolio in the area of dyes. We are very pleased by this, as it allows us a more intense market development,” says Florian Krückl, Vice President Global Business Management CASE & Textile Effects of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.
“The partnership with Bodo Möller Chemie will improve our customer service quality in the Nordic countries even more,” says Michael Weiden, Head of Commercial EMEAs, Merck Surface Solutions. “We are absolutely convinced that our partner’s technical expertise and our products constitute an extremely strong dual benefit for our valuable customers,” adds Weiden.
