Kinark Corporation North American Galvanizing Company Announces Introduction Of INFRASHIELD(SM)

TULSA, Okla., July 15, 2002 - Kinark Corporation's President and Chief Executive Officer, Ronald J. Evans, announced today North American Galvanizing Company's new product introduction of INFRASHIELD(SM) coating. The Company has successfully completed development of its polymer application system for interior coating of tubular product. This process will provide economical application of coatings for tubular product and pipe from 9" to 24" in diameter, including tapered products, with further developmental research expected to achieve diameters up to 84". Designed to be applied over galvanized material, "This new value-added product allows the Company to offer an effective coating solution to our customers with unusually severe corrosion concerns," Evans said. "For years, engineers and designers have sought a coating system that, due to the harsh conditions of their applications, would complement the proven performance and cost effectiveness of galvanizing; INFRASHIELD(SM) coating was designed to help meet that need. North American Galvanizing Company is pleased to announce it will offer INFRASHIELD(SM) coating throughout its facilities in response to market demands," he added. The Company has been conducting market research and performing developmental testing with a small core group of potential users and expects commercial introduction over the next few months. Potential markets include a wide range of utility, chemical processing and municipal, industrial and infrastructure applications. North American Galvanizing Company currently conducts its galvanizing and coatings business through a network of plants located in Denver, Houston, Hurst (Dallas/Fort Worth), Kansas City, Louisville, Nashville, St. Louis and the Tulsa area. Hot dip galvanizing provides metals corrosion protection for many product applications used in commercial, construction and industrial markets.
