Changes in the Managing Board at Süd-Chemie AG

As part of Süd-Chemie´s integration into the Clariant Group, the Supervisory Board of Süd-Chemie AG, Munich, Germany restructured the company´s Managing, reducing the number of board positions from four to three.
Dr. Günter von Au (59), Managing Board Chairman since 2004, is to remain Chairman of the Managing Board.
Dr. Hans-Joachim Müller (52), member of the Süd-Chemie Managing Board since 2007, is to take over responsibility for operations in the Functional Materials (Adsorbents) sector as of 1 July 2011, in addition to managing operations in the Catalysis & Energy (Catalysts) division. He will therefore be responsible for the entire business operations at Süd-Chemie.
By mutual agreement, Deputy Managing Board Chairman Dr. Hans Jürgen Wernicke (62) and Chief Financial Officer Edgar Binnemann (56) are to resign from the Managing Board as of 30 June 2011.
As of 1 July 2011, Mr. Binnemann´s responsibilities will be taken over by Udo de Wall (47). At the same time, Mr. de Wall Herr de Wall will retain his positions as Executive Board member of Clariant SE, Sulzbach im Taunus and as Regional Head of Finance for Europe.
