Stewart McCutcheon Named CTO of Elemica

Elemica, a neutral e-marketplace founded by some of the world's leading chemical companies to serve the global chemical industry, today named Stewart McCutcheon its chief technology officer (CTO). As CTO, McCutcheon will be responsible for overseeing all areas of technology for Elemica, including implementing the e-marketplace's globally integrated IT infrastructure.

"With his broad chemical industry and IT experience, Stewart will play an instrumental role in developing and refining Elemica's technology architecture, " said Kent Dolby, president and CEO of Elemica. "As we transition our basic service offering to more complex logistics functionality and ERP connectivity, we will look to him to deploy solutions that will enhance the user experience for Elemica's clients."

"Elemica offers significant potential for the e-business transformation of its investors and future clients," said Stewart McCutcheon, CTO of Elemica. "As the company's CTO, my objective is to lead Elemica in applying information technology for competitive advantage."

Prior to joining Elemica, McCutcheon most recently served as the global e-business technology director of DuPont, and was responsible for defining and deploying e-business technologies globally across the company's 19 strategic business units. During his 21-year career with Dupont, McCutcheon served in various executive and business management roles in information technology, manufacturing, supply chain management, research & development and engineering.

McCutcheon is a cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
